“Onde” è un racconto sul continuo mutamento, in cui il mare risuona ovunque, dal dolce movimento che può cullare prima di trasformarsi in onda anomala e distruggere, facendo tabula rasa. Custodisce al proprio interno numerose metafore e molteplici stati d’animo che come le onde marine possono assumere mille forme.
Mentre tutta l’acqua si muove cambiando forma e potenza, ogni canto si lascia attraversare dai suoni dentro un mare di frequenze. La voce di Maria Mazzotta prende il largo, si lascia scagliare lontano e poi affondare, prima di tornare in superficie e, finalmente, riposare. Questo disco racconta il movimento del mare, dal tormento che comporta navigarlo al sollievo che regala, alla fine, ogni approdo.
“Onde” is a story about continuous change, in which the sea resonates everywhere, from the gentle movement that can lull before it transforms into a tidal wave that destroys, making a clean sweep. It holds within itself numerous metaphors and multiple states of mind that, like sea waves, can take on thousands of forms.
While all water moves, changing shape and force, each song lets sounds pass through it within a sea of frequencies. The voice shoves off and sets sail, allowing itself to be hurled far away, sinking before returning to the surface and, finally, finding rest. This album tells the story of the movement of the sea, from the torment that navigating it entails to the relief that, in the end, each landing offers.
